Question 1: What must a driver have who drives a transport unit with dangerous goods that must be marked with orange-coloured plates?

  • A confirmation from the consignor about the load
  • Only the driving licence of the right category
  • A valid ADR driver training certificate
Show answer

Correct answer: A valid ADR driver training certificate

Drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods need a certificate confirming that they attended the course and passed the exam. The driving licence alone is not enough, and a confirmation from the consignor does not replace the training.

Question 2: Which course must all dangerous goods drivers attend first?

  • The tank specialization course
  • The Class 1 specialization course
  • The basic course
Show answer

Correct answer: The basic course

The basic course is the basic training for all drivers. The specialization courses build on it and are only needed in addition for tanks, Class 1 or Class 7.

Question 3: From what capacity of a fixed tank does the driver also need the tank specialization course?

  • More than 450 litres
  • More than 3 m³
  • More than 1 m³
Show answer

Correct answer: More than 1 m³

For fixed tanks and demountable tanks the limit is more than 1 m³. The 3 m³ limit applies to the individual capacity of tank-containers, portable tanks and MEGCs.
