Basel-Stadt: Duties, Vehicle and Tariffs
Basel-Stadt has a comprehensive obligation to carry passengers, a fixed order at taxi ranks and clear rules of conduct. Taxis need a maize-yellow taxi sign, card payment, a child booster seat and the prescribed documents. The Taxitarifverordnung (taxi tariff ordinance) sets maximum prices for the basic fare, kilometre rates, waiting time and surcharges.
